Urgent Update: Credit Expirations in 2025
Important: The federal Energy Efficient Home Improvement Credit (25C), including upgrades like water heaters and electrical panels, expires December 31, 2025. For customers to take advantage of up to $3,200 in annual tax credits, projects must be completed by then. We encourage you to contact us today to plan your upgrades promptly.
Credit Phase-Outs Under New Law
The “One Big Beautiful Bill Act”, passed July 4, 2025, accelerates the phase-out of key IRA incentives, including:
- 25C Energy Efficient Home Improvement Credit ends 2025.
- Renewable credits (solar, wind, heat pumps beyond 25C) also expire 2025.
- EV charger credit remains only until mid‑2026.
- EV purchase credits eliminated after September 30, 2025.
